About The Event

POOL GAMES’ RULES

NFHS rules apply except for the following:

1. A Coin toss will be conducted at Home Plate to determine the Home/Visitor team.  2. Pool games are 80 minutes drop dead, if lead changed or tie broken during last inning by visitor and home team didn’t finish at bat to reverse the change, then we will revert to last full inning.  If lead did not change, or home team resumed the lead the score will count at the end of 80 minutes.  A Pool Game may end sooner than 80 minutes if the Run Ahead Rule is invoked (10 after 4, 8 after 5, 6 after 6).  3. Teams may bat 9 players, any number of players, or utilize a continuous batting order.   4. Free Defensive Substitutions are allowed.  5. Courtesy Runner for pitcher/catcher. Will be last batter due up if using continuous batting, or eligible sub if batting less than line-up.  6. Pitching Rules. The PGF “PITCHING RULE CHANGE” will be in effect. www.premiergirlsfastpich.com  Click on RULES, drop down to the end of RULES. N.B. It is not the intent of Stars and Stripes to call multiple illegal pitches, but rather use this event as an opportunity for correctable instruction.  7. Jewelry is permitted unless deemed dangerous by the umpires, in which case it shall be removed.  8. This is a NON-Protest event.  Umpires decision on field is final.  9. SEEDING:  Pool play results determine seeding into the single elimination bracket.  Teams will receive two points for a win, one point for a tie and no points for a loss.  If pool play results in a tie, pool standing will be determined by: a) head to head results between tied teams. When more than two teams tie, head-to-head will be used only if one team has beaten all other tied teams or one team has lost to all other tied teams; b) fewest runs allowed in all pool games; c) a coin flip.  When more than two teams tie, after a team is selected during any step, the tiebreaker reverts back to step a) to select the next team.

All bats must have the ASA USA Approved stamp

In pool we will keep the  games in the time slots, we will not start earlier than 10 minutes and we will not run late.  If weather hits, the clock runs, and we do not reschedule any pool games.

BRACKET GAMES’ RULES

NFHS rules apply except for the following:

1. A Coin toss will be conducted at Home Plate to determine the Home/Visitor team.  2. Bracket Games will be 100 minutes (finish the inning if needed) or 7 innings, whichever comes first. Time begins upon arrival of the umpires at Home Plate.  A Bracket Game may end sooner than 100 minutes or 7 innings if the Run Ahead Rule is invoked (10 after 4, 8 after 5, 6 after 6).  3. The Tie Breaker Rule will be employed if the score is tied after the conditions of Rule 2 above are satisfied. The runner placed on 2nd Base will be the last player to have completed her turn at bat in the previous inning.  4. Pitching Rules. The PGF “PITCHING RULE CHANGE” will be in effect. www.premiergirlsfastpich.com  Click on RULES, drop down to the end of RULES. N.B.
